uGatsheni Defeats Tyla & Lebo Malope at CCIA 2024 For The Best Newcomer Award

uGatsheni Wins The Best Newcomer Award: Mlungisi Khuzani Ndlovu, also known as uGatsheni, was born in 1990. He began his career in the Maskandi music genre in 2012, and has recently gained significant popularity with the release of his groundbreaking track “Hit After Hit” in December 2023.

Ugatsheni, together with Grammy award winner Tyla and Lebo Malope, were nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the recently concluded Cultural and Creative Industry Awards. While all eyes were on Tyla, who has become a global Hip Hop sensation, Ugatsheni surprisingly emerged as the winner of the prestigious award. The event took place on March 30th, 2024, at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Unfortunately, Gatsheni was not able to attend the event on the 30th due to his busy schedule. He ended up attending seven other events that same day. However, he did take the time to show his appreciation for Minister Zizi Kodwa, the Deputy Minister, and the Department of Sports, Art and Culture of South Africa on social media.

The Award comes with a price tag of R100,000.

It is highly probable that uGatsheni will win another award at the Mother of Maskandi Festival Top 30 in a week’s time, as he is currently leading the chart with a significant margin. He is also urging his fans to vote for him to secure a convincing victory on the 6th of April, 2024.
