Mlabalaba khumalo New 2024 Album: Popular Zulu Blues music artiste, Mlabalaba khumalo released his project for the year 2024 as it’s customary for most Maskandi artists. The 14 track project is titled “Ilona Nalona Naloya.” Mlabalaba revealed the title of the on the 20th of March, 2024 along with the official cover artwork of the project.
Mlabalaba in a post released the lineup/schedule for the project as follows; “20 March 2024 The promo video goes out — 19:30, The CD cover comes out — 17:00, 21 March 2024 The back cover comes out — 17:00. Then we wait for 12:00 am 🕛 we just don’t sleep, because the big elephant in the room is coming out by that time.”
Mlabalaba khumalo, differs from many other maskandi artists as he releases his albums in the first few months of the year instead of towards the end. His latest project, “Son of A Carpenter”, was released on March 31st, 2024.
This years album also promises to be a banger as fans are highly anticipating the project. While announcing the project, Mlabalaba wrote and I quote “The day has come and Gatsheni’s song said 😀😀. It’s 22 March 2024 (Seluphumile usuku kwazisholo ingoma ka Gatsheni 
.yiloke usuku lokphuma komsebenzi lolu 22 March 2024)”.
As stated earlier, the Maskandi album has a total of 14 stunning MP3 songs with a minimum duration of 4 minutes 18 seconds for each song. uMlabalaba collaborated with three prominent talents in the maskandi music industry, in the persons of Samukelisiwe Ncwane (featured twice), Jikelele and Imfezemnyama. The album was released on the 22nd March, 2024.
All songs in the project were composed and produced by Mlabalab Khumalo, he was also in charge of the Keyboard, Lead & Bass Guitar, lastly he was solely responsible for Lead and Backup Vocals in the project.
Engineering and Accordion of the project was by Thuthani Ndlovu, Ilona Nalona Naloya album was Mixed and Mastered by Evan Smith. The project was finally recorded at Takk Studio.
A week after the project was released, five tracks in the album were featured in TOP 30 TRENDING SONGS IN SOUTH AFRICA. The songs are Ilo Nalo Naloya, Shushu Mtanami, Khuluma Dlozi, Umenzeni Umntanami and Wayeqhakazile, which ranked 5th, 7th, 16th, 17th and 30th respectively in the score board that week.
